Madlin D’silva truly believes that contextual communication has the power to mobilize communities for action. She is currently the Senior Communications Associate at Upaya Social Ventures.
Prior to joining our firm, Madlin wore many hats as a storyteller. She had a brief stint (before COVID) working as a Tour Guide in Goa and Mumbai. She then, pivoted and worked as a Marketing Consultant to NGOs, impact organizations, and sustainable businesses with Studio Ebb and Flow. She most recently worked as a Digital Campaigner on initiatives surrounding electric vehicles and sustainable mobility, and issues like air pollution for Purpose, India.
Having recently completed the Climate Change: Learning For Action Certificate course from Terra.do, Madlin aspires to assist more and more organizations in the impact and justice sector by providing a climate communications perspective and advocating for the welfare of vulnerable communities.
Apart from this, she prides in being a cat mom and in her free time, loves consuming content on OTT platforms, collecting books to read, and doom-scrolling on social media platforms. She sometimes also writes travel pieces about her adventures.
Madlin holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai.
The Tribal Hermit is a social impact venture that works closely with 130+ Dhokra craft artisans from Kondagaon, Bastar, and Raigarh districts of Chhattisgarh to design, create, and sell their products.
