Shamli leads a whole cluster of women, creating handcrafted pieces for Upaya's portfolio partner, Lal10. Her income is helping her two children with their studies. Shamli's son, Suraj, is taking Digital Marketing courses, and she has big dreams for her daughter as well.

Mohammed works as a rickshaw driver with Upaya’s partner, SMV Green. He enjoys the stability and dignity that his job provides and no longer needs to leave his wife and children for weeks at a time in search of work in a far-away city.
